Sabrina Korber, from WTPD, Introduces Her High School Teachers, Tim & Gwen Walz

Action Items:

  • Remember, do not forward, comment on, or click on articles about the DT take on the VP nominee. Focus on articles about Harris and Walz and what they are doing;

  • If you know a student in college, send them this to listen to;

  • Share Sabrina’s interview to teachers you know; and

  • Some Tim remarkables: coached football and LGBT club at his high school; brought free lunchs to all MN students; owns a gun, but gave back all NRA $ after a 5* rating from them after a shooting changed his mind about gun control- they now give him an F; improved health care for MN; rated one of the highest economic-healthy states in the country under his leadership.

We the People’s People, one of our first supporters, Sabrina Korber, grew up in Alliance, Nebraska, deep in the Panhandle of the all-red state. Her high school teachers, Tim & Gwen Walz, were educators at her high school. She considers them mentors who championed her on her way to undergrad at New York University and grad school, where she earned her MBA.

She took time out of her day to introduce us to why she and her friends from Nebraska are so excited about this pitch.

Great humans make great leaders when given the chance.

Hope you will have a listen as Sabrina introduces us to them.

And if you are looking for things to comment on around his political history, here are a few talking points for consideration.

  • Proven Leadership in Crisis Management: As the Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz has demonstrated strong leadership during critical situations, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and civil unrest following the death of George Floyd. His experience in handling complex crises with a focus on public health and social justice underscores his ability to navigate challenging circumstances effectively.

  • Commitment to Education and Economic Development: Walz has been a strong advocate for education and economic growth. He has implemented policies to increase funding for schools, promote workforce development, and support small businesses. His efforts to expand access to affordable healthcare and invest in infrastructure projects further highlight his dedication to improving the quality of life for all Minnesotans.

  • Bipartisan Approach and Appeal: Known for his pragmatic approach, Walz has a track record of working across the aisle to achieve legislative success. His ability to collaborate with Republicans and Democrats alike makes him an appealing choice for voters seeking a moderate and unifying figure in a polarized political landscape.

  • Veteran and Public Servant Background: Walz's background as a former high school teacher and a retired Army National Guard member brings a unique perspective to his political career. His service-oriented approach resonates with veterans, educators, and working-class citizens, making him a relatable and trustworthy candidate.

  • Focus on Climate Action and Environmental Stewardship: Walz has been a proponent of clean energy initiatives and environmental protection. His administration has set ambitious goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing renewable energy usage in Minnesota. His commitment to addressing climate change aligns with the growing public demand for sustainable policies and a green future.
